The Brief
Welcome to the YMCA
The YMCA (Young Man’s Christian Association) is a Christian charity founded 160 years ago in order to support young people in times of need. The YMCA provides a place for young people to find ‘acceptance, community and activity’ and offers services in the following areas:
Housing and homelessness
Sport, Health, Exercise and Fitness
Crime and Safety
Money and Work
Citizenship and Personal Development
Parenting and Family
The Chelmsford YMCA offers many exciting events and challenges to the young people who frequent it, and it has become a popular meeting place.
You will be working for Craig Gough who helps to run the YMCA, who wishes to promote the different services that are on offer at the Chelmsford YMCA.
Working in groups, you will identify a particular service and create an animation to promote that service in a vibrant and dynamic way that appeals to young people.
This module is designed for you to gain practical experience in team work, and working with a client. You will be presenting your ideas and finished product in a formal interim and final presentation, and you will be expected to behave and dress in a professional manner.
